Tailor a resume for a job

Create a separate job-specific resume while preserving your original version.

Before you start

Tailoring requires QuickCV Pro, a saved source resume, and a job description. QuickCV creates a separate tailored resume; your source remains unchanged.

Review the job match

  1. Open the source resume and select Tailor for Job.
  2. Paste the complete job description.
  3. Start the analysis.
  4. Review the match score, required skills, and suggested changes.

The score and skills summarize alignment with the supplied description. They do not guarantee eligibility or selection.

Choose suggestions

Review title, summary, bullet, and skill suggestions one by one. Accept only changes that accurately reflect your experience, and reject anything irrelevant or unsupported.

Create the tailored resume after reviewing the selected changes. QuickCV saves it as a separate version so you can compare it with the base resume.

Expected result

The resume library contains a role-specific copy ready for final editing, ATS review, cover-letter creation, or an application kit. Rename it clearly and verify every accepted fact before export or sharing.
