Scan a resume for job-description keywords

Compare resume text with a job description and identify matching and missing keywords.

Prepare the text

Copy the resume text you plan to submit and the complete job description for one role. The scanner compares only the text provided in the current form.

Run the keyword scan

  1. Open ATS Keyword Scanner.
  2. Paste resume text into the resume field.
  3. Paste the job description into the job field.
  4. Start the scan.

QuickCV shows a match score, keywords found in both texts, and important job terms missing from the resume.

Use the results

Add a missing term only when it truthfully describes your experience. Prefer the wording used in the job description where it remains accurate, and place it in a relevant summary, experience bullet, or skills section.

The score measures text overlap, not whether you qualify or will be interviewed. Clear the fields before scanning a different role, then rerun after meaningful edits. If validation or scanning fails, confirm both text fields contain readable content and retry once.
