Restore Pro access or fix a payment problem
Recover when payment or entitlement state prevents expected Pro access.
The problem
QuickCV shows a status of Free, or a warning that payment needs attention, even though you expected active Pro access.
Do not start a second checkout — see Buy QuickCV Pro if you haven't purchased yet — until you confirm the existing subscription state; a duplicate purchase does not fix a delayed or misreported one.
Check for an obvious cause
QuickCV shows this state on the Subscription card on your dashboard, the same widget covered in Manage your subscription, billing, and invoices.
- Confirm you are signed in to the account used for purchase.
- Open the Subscription card and wait for it to finish loading.
- Read the status chip — Active, Cancelling soon, or Free — along with the renewal or access-end date shown beneath it.
- If a cancellation was scheduled, that explains an access-end date without anything being wrong; access continues until that date.
If purchase just completed, give the entitlement update a minute to finish before treating this as a problem — Stripe confirms the charge before QuickCV updates your access.
Fix it
Stripe-managed and Clerk-managed subscriptions show a Manage Billing button on the dashboard's Subscription card — select it to open the billing portal and complete the available payment or subscription recovery action. Legacy Polar subscribers see a Cancel Subscription button instead, with no external portal; that path is for ending access, not fixing a payment problem, so a Polar-billed payment issue needs the support step below instead.
Return to QuickCV and refresh once after the provider confirms the change. If the problem is that a paid resume-checker report stayed locked after upgrading, use Restore your resume report after upgrading instead — that's a separate, checker-specific unlock issue.
If the problem continues
Contact QuickCV support with the account email, approximate charge time, the visible subscription status, and the exact message shown. Do not send card numbers, invoices containing unnecessary personal data, or private portal URLs.
