Don't just write 'completed student teaching at Lincoln Elementary.' Specify the grade level, class size, number of weeks you took full instructional responsibility, the subject areas you taught, and any special populations (ELL, IEP, gifted). The more specific you are, the more confident a principal becomes that you were prepared by your program.

A brief teaching philosophy (2-4 sentences) in your summary or objective section differentiates student teacher resumes. State your approach to student engagement, differentiated instruction, or classroom culture. Something like 'I believe all students learn best when they feel seen — I prioritize relationship-building alongside rigorous academic instruction' shows intentionality that many first-year teacher candidates overlook.
